CAUSES OF BELLY FAT

INSULIN is the hormone that is responsible for fat in our midsection.  All foods will increase insulin, but there are foods we want to avoid.   Read below which foods to avoid or limit.

CARBOHYDRATES:  Spikes insulin.

INSOMNIA:  Make sure you get enough sleep. 

STRESS:  Is one of the main causes we have belly fat.   Wouldn’t it be nice if we did not have any stress.  Here are some common stress triggers:

  • The loss of a loved one
  • Divorce
  • The loss of a job
  • Moving
  • Starting a new job
  • School
  • Children
  • Elderly care

The list is limitless.  You could probably add a few others on to this list.

FOODS THAT CAUSE BELLY FAT

Insulin:  Insulin is a hormone.  The absence of insulin will help you to lose weight.

Carbohydrates:  It spikes insulin. Bagels, bread, alcohol, pasta, rice, cereals…are examples of carbohydrates.

Fructose Corn syrup: or high fructose corn syrup.  Start reading labels.  Look for this item.  This is one item you want to avoid.
